Touring the coastal seascape

Our dream and ambition is the long trips in a varied coastal environment, the pleasure of moving slowly in calm weather, letting the play of the harber porpoise and the flight of the eagle into our mind, relaxing. We want a kayak designed for adventure. Effortless motion to the next tent or rest place is the primary focus.

Most of the trips for the average sea kayaker will be shorter day trips, though. Then it is fun (and healthy!) to play with speed, and the feeling of how your efforts translate to forward motion in a well-designed kayak resembles the feeling you get using a racing bike rather than an MTB.

The kayak in front is the Crosswind, which has served us well over the years. However, we are now ready to move to a double that is faster and have more storage capacity without sacrificing too much stability: the planned kayak Halten.
